Cultural Citizens in Barking and Dagenham | OBLive

The Cultural Citizens programme was announced in August 2016 by Culture Secretary Karen Bradley. It kicked off with three pilots (Barking and Dagenham, Birmingham and Liverpool and Blackpool) designed to give 600 young people across England greater access to arts and culture.

The London pilot has been led by A New Direction in partnership with Studio 3 Arts, and Creative Barking and Dagenham. It has seen 300 young people from across five schools in Barking and Dagenham take part in workshops with some of London’s most innovative and exciting cultural organisations.
