Israt’s Covid story – remembering Iftekharuddin Ahmed
In Barking and Dagenham alone, over 550 people have sadly lost their lives to coronavirus. Iftekharuddin Ahmed was one of them. He worked as a taxi driver in the borough after relocating his family here so that his daughter could enjoy a better life. His daughter Israt agreed to tell his story in the hope that more people understand the need to get vaccinated.
Vaccines are safe and have been proven to be effective against all variants of coronavirus. Currently, anyone over the age of 18 is eligible to receive a vaccine – if you haven’t done so already, please book your vaccination as soon as you can.
