Barking and Dagenham Council is launching a new community lottery to help support local good causes by giving them 50% of ticket sales.
Barking and Dagenham Lottery will be the first of its kind in London and see ticket-buyers choosing a community organisation to support, with 50% of their ticket sale going to that cause. Tickets will cost £1 each and enter players into a weekly drawer with the chance to win up to £25,000.
Today, Wednesday 16 August, the council invited community organisations along to a launch event to find out how they can become one of the causes selected to benefit from ticket sales.
