Last year, Barking and Dagenham Council was awarded an injunction in the High Court banning unlawful encampments and fly-tipping at a number of protected sites across the borough.
Since then, the council has put these new powers to use several times including three times in as many weeks when an unlawful site was moved on Thursday 29 March from Dagenhams Central Park.

The injunction gives Barking and Dagenham Council the power to order any illegal camps to move within two hours or face being in contempt of court.
