New Leaf Project aims to help prevent homelessness | OBLive
The New Leaf Project is a scheme that aims to prevent homelessness for households living in the private rented sector, who may be at risk of losing their tenancy due to a change in circumstances.
This may be because of things like a relationship breakdown, redundancy, a change in benefits, illness or someone joining or leaving the household.
The project was developed in response to increasing rates of homelessness from tenancy terminations within the private rented sector.
Thomas Warden, Homelessness Prevention & Support Officer at East London Housing Partnership explains how the scheme works.
